custom shop wishlist.....

Bone. Wood is probably my favorite, but I would love a 110 and 112 with bone scales. A nice brown or chestnut jigged bone would be awesome. If they threw the 300 series in there I'd be pretty happy with that too...
1990 has some sweet bone options in several colors brown jig included
there is a smooth honey bone 110 with a clip that is fairly new also

Custom wish list. Free custom to all of us regulars?
who wouldnt love that...:D true wishlist want there........we need lobbyists to get govt to fund free knives for us collectors and users.......free govt money everywhere else what about us, right?:p

glad to be back ... been a rough past year but not getting mail from groundhogs !
yes Sir. thats a way to put it.....groundhogs. funny.

glad ya pulled through and are back to fighting shape. we all missed ya.

At the risk of repeating myself I want a mirror polished S30V or S35VN drop point blade for the 112..It would make sense for me to pay the high price just the basic knife plus the upcharge for fancy wood handles.

1) Aluminum frame for the 110 and 112. It's a game changer for me.

2) Option to have the blade thinned and flattened. I do this with my users and it transforms them into slicing machines. But it takes awhile on stones.

I've seen some pictures of some very nice bone. I would have loved to get my hands on one of those smooth bone 110's with the disk and clip, but I missed out on them...

Does somebody here have pull with Buck? Or might the right somebody within Buck see this thread? I'd really like a matching 501/503 set...the handle material I want is already there; the problem is that there is no blade steel upgrade for the 503. Ideally, I'd like both in CPM154 (there's already a 501 in that steel; so that part should be easy)...but I'd deal with s30v, if they'd offer it for the 503.

If we are wishing here mine would be a long blade 124 in bg42 with ivory scales for under $ 300.00 lol maybe more like a fantasy than a wish.

What I think Buck needs to know is that we ARE willing to pay for what we want..On Ebay and other sites rare Bucks both totally Custom and LE's and discontinued models will sell for prices Buck would not dream of asking. CJ give us a chance to buy from you directly and we will come thru!

interesting point there. many of us love the old stuff and collect it funding the secondary market only......but doesnt help buck earn new income to keep running. course the cost and overhead to do custom again maybe doesnt make sense or one might think theyd already be doing it. only they know the numbers and can make informed business decisions regarding that.

I would like to see the 300 line in the CKS. A screw fastened 110 and 112 with 20CV and M4 as an option. More options for the 500 line. The assisted open 294 Momentum. In that order. And oh yeah. One more quality control check on each knife. That is all.

Also, the CKS could offer a line of custom 300 series knives exclusive to the CKS. Really embrace this line of smaller knives. Because small knives are cool.

First off I'd like to praise Buck for even offering the custom shop. It is a really cool service for sure, but for me it just falls short with the current offerings and I don't find myself motivated to use it. My wish list would be:

- more blade shapes and steels for the 110/112. Add CPM 154 to the mix at least and offer clip point and DROP point blades in all the different steels for the 110 AND the 112. The fact that there's no drop point available for the 112 is just silly. Those blades are already in the factory being used for certain retailers.

-add the 110 and 112 slims to the mix with the option of putting slim blades in traditional handles and traditional clip and drop point blades in slim handles.

-pocket clips for the 110 and 112. The option of adding a slim or spitfire pocket clip to the traditional frame would be awesome.

-more handle options. Let's see some aluminum frames for the 110 and 112. Some LT handles in multiple colors with screw pivots would be cool too.

-more budget friendly handle options for the 110/112. The rosewood available at certain retailers would be nice. So would micarta, paper stone, and solid ebony.

-more budget friendly handle options for the 119. The lack of handle options is all that keeps me from buying one. I'd love to see rosewood, oak, walnut, or micarta offered.

-more 100 series knives offered. I love that the 119 is offered but I would think the 192,102 and 105 at least would be good sellers too.
