Sold! Thanks for looking. Very one of a kind small skinner camp or display knife. knife overall 6 inches, blade = 3 x 1/2 inch. D2 steel custom acid etched with wolf tracks both sides. Rockwell about 59, double temper cryo deep cold treated. Handle Unusual Alaska river birch burl, not a wood found on the commercial market. Found and stabilized myself. Mammoth ivory end cap and guard, some blues in the end cap. Sheath is mammoth ivory. I know of no one else doing this. Ivory found myself. Snakewood back, metal trim is part of the structural strength. Brass Indian head speaks of the subsistence life I support and believe in. This sheath has no loop so meant to go in a pocket, pack, display. Knife good as small skinner, carving knife, paring knife. I take pride in having done all the work myself , the blade materials metal decorative work hardening tempering cryo treatment wood work. $275 pay pal works milesofalaska@gmail.com. Very cool, that river birch burl matched the ivory sheath perfectly.

Thanks! One reason for finding and processing my own materials is to have an increased selection, and handle the material in a way that suits what I have in mind. I think it's important knife makers create a 'personality,' or work they are known for. We all have our own ideas, as it should be! Lots of snow just landed here in Nenana and now 20 below zero, good time to be in the shop- after I use the snow machine to get firewood. Have a good day. Miles
