Jeff--I inherited a buck custom skinner and would like some help to identify it.(age, value etc.)
It is 4.5' long with 5' stag handle, brass guard and and pins. Marked buck/custom/USA/0060.
Hand made leather sheath, with box and papers.

Thank You.

MAK,
I passed your picture on to the head of our Collectors Club. With the serial # we should be able to ID it for you. Joe will give you an Idea on its value. I'll post as soon as I hear. It's a nice knife.

MAK,

We need a little more info.. Do you have the Cert of Authenticity? It would have the model # on it. We need to know if it was a model 921 light skinner or 923 medium skinner. Here is what we can tell without that info
Here goes with the "educated guess"...Without a model number I am guessing from the picture that it is a model 921 light skinner. It had a suggested retail of about $320.
Or, it could be a model 923 medium skinner. I have records on this one: Made in 1984. Originally had a suggested retail of $304, and...get this, it was made of D2!
Please let MAK know that this is only a guess. We would really need to have the certificate of authenticity to know for sure.
Joe
