Hey guys, I recently got a Snody Hybrid in a trade and just thinking about values here, I would rather have a couple of guns. I'm a huge Garand-action nut so I'd like a couple of garand action guns to go with my Mini. Lets get the details of the hybrid out of the way first before we talk about what I want.
The Hybrid is at least a couple years old, perfect condition with the original leather carry case. It's perfect, balance, heft, feel of the lock, centering, functional jimping, speed of deployment, everything is spot on. There's a reason these knives cost 1700$+ new. The blade is satin finished with black smooth G10 handles and purple titanium liners. This folder is unique, handmade by Mike Snody, if you're not familiar with his stuff GET FAMILIAR FAST because it's some of the highest quality workmanship on the planet in terms of knives.
Here's what I'm looking for: either a new Springfield M1A or a combination of a Garand and a M1 Carbine. I'd much rather have the Springfield, but I have plans to add all three to my arsenal so I wouldn't mind picking up the carbine and garand. There are a few definite necessities on an M1A that the gun should have, namely the ability to accept detachable mags and have a flash suppressor (read: not looking for a CA legal one). Garand/Carbine wise, I'd prefer them to be in as good of shape as possible, I can buy a mint garand at my local show for around a grand, carbine for about 700 in good condition. I think either of those trades is pretty fair. I can pay shipping and FFL fee's if you're out of town but I'd prefer a FTF in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area.
I'm also interested in HK and FN rifles as far as trades go, so I'll consider a trade (I'll add some cash or perhaps a Kershaw Volt or a number of other customs) for an FS2000, an SL8 or a USC. No knives, no gear, just guns. If you have spare mags and such, I can add a little cash but I'd prefer it to be the gun, new or with fewer than 300 rounds thru it and what it came with from the factory.
