Just to help as this was my former knife......the wood is walnut burl.....and it is beautiful in person!! Good luck.....this is really a great knife. Also, the carbon fiber isn't traditional cf but rather is the swirled or mosaic cf very similar to blacksite which isn't made any longer. Very unique and a very comfortable package.

thsnks wjs yes I had a southward before love the looks of it thought I could get over the ergos but unfortunately cant. I think its a love hate thing
