The blade core is made of a powder steel called R-2, with a 33-layer stainless damascus laminate forge-welded to the core. The edge is hardened to RC 62.

Beautiful stag handle with tapered tang. incredibly well made and holds a screaming edge. The balance point is right where the bolster meets the blade. This knife has been gently used; I don't believe it's been sharpened but has had a steel to it.
