This is a custom balisong, made by Don Ritchey, aka nivejuncky here on the forums.
Original specs from the maker:
7.4 oz
440C blade a tad over 4"
.125" thick
303 stainless handles
5.625" closed
9.25" open
sandwich construction
This is a really great flipper; super buttery smooth, and DEADLY sharp. Don is really a master at his craft; his grinds are really clean and precise, and his knowledge of the balisong's dynamics are evident in his work.
I've carried and flipped this one a bit, so it has some normal marks on the handle from latch contact and a few drops, but the blade is full and bright.
If you're looking for a "best of both worlds" balisong, this one's for you. It's got that classic steel-handled feel and weight, with the tight precision of a sandwich-constructed flipper. I really am sad to let it go, but it must be done.
I attempted to snap some pics to show the condition to the best of my ability. Any questions, please ask!
Asking $300. Will entertain reasonable offers. First come, first serve. Posting an "I'll take it!" here in this thread will be the official time stamp.
Thanks,
Alex
