custom steel choice?

Yeah Kershaw uses alot of CPM steels! I really like the composites, but I try to stick with Buck only

Wh4f, Good accurate quote about CPM steels. I didn't know they came out w/ D2 recently. Should be a better cutlery steel than std D2, if you care for nonstainless. DM

It looks to me (from the poll) That people are happy with the current steels,
(69%) and most would favor the Bos flame stamp and steel type on the blade.
As for the rest it appears to be a wash There's too many options to vote for also, One could vote for each choice up there.
Maybe a steel poll is necessary, and a poll for stamps in a seperate thread...

it was set up as multiple choice and as should be looked at in the group..
thus those that want damascus are evenly split on weather it is carbon or stainless..
while on steel types- most like what is offered now about 2/3 of those also want new steels offered ...>>> which makes it notable that damascuss was not as requested as the existing ones and only scored some higher then in desire then new steels.. i did not expect this..
also i expected more to want a drop point shape offered.

on stamping..
it was surprising to me that 6 wanted the blade stamping to stay the same!
while clearly most wanted some kind of change
with the biggest was for the steel details to be on the front which i expected

but on tang scrip and shape that was not even ... i expected it to be
it would seem that a different script and lettering is of much more importance then shape of the stamp!

poll options are limited..
it was an difficult poll to phrase for choices
as you can not create several this or that choices..
either only one choice or multiple choices..
and no allowance for ranking either..
such as first or second choice..

I'd love to see another blade shape offered, and the black carbon damascus would be nice, but i'm happy as long as they keep the BG42.
