Custom Swamp Rat

Well the story of this Swamp Rat is that when I deployed to Afghanistan in 05, my Engineer Field Squadron troops wanted a knife.I contacted Swamp Rat and they made a custom run of 11 knives with custom paint and inscription on the blade. The sheath is made but a custom nylon guy up north here.

AWESOME, the head Hogs and Rats are awesome folks especially when it comes to supporting our military. They've made a lifer out of me not just because the product is so solid, but because they are as well.

Now where did you get that sheath! It's darn near perfect, I want one or five. Seriously- please let me know how to get in touch with the maker.

Cool. I can't say enuf about the Swamp/Busse folks for helping out with the military. Shocking what they will put down to help the boys out. I love it.

Great pix, too. I like that sheath. Placed upside-down on your vest, I assume?
 
That is a great looking knife and sheath. Are you CF? I would think that is the kind of knife you would want to pass down to your kids and grandkids.
 
freakin rad, mildot! if they weren't made specially for you guys, i'd say i have to have one- but you guys earned them!

I am and just finished my contract,I'm looking for a career in LE. We were very pleased with the knife. Buddy at Swamp Rat, said that they don't do custom runs, but he liked the idea. The sheath was a custom one done by a LE friend of mine, more to follow on that.Enjoy the pics and Thanks for the kind words. Now if I just get myself a Busse Game Warden, life would be good! LOL. Cheers
 
i saw a pic of that rat awhile ago. sweet looking. Glad to see that Canadian force uses rats.

Now where were the Busse family when I was slaving away in the deep, dark halls of the Pentagon -- in serious danger of paper-cuts and death or maiming via action items?? Could've used a custom 'Busse family' knife then!

I know, I know. The bureaucracy wars just don't get the same press -- the weapons aren't as impressive.
 
Beautiful! I wondered what happened to those. Our only clue was the link in the Shack.

Stunning knife but Pardon me for saying but it doesn't look to have seen much action,did you actually take it with you ?

Yes for the first part of the tour. Around half way through the tour our SSM decided that he didn't want us carrying it on our vest. It went to my "go bag", in the LAV.
