...$520!!!!..Dropped $100 BUCKS OFF!!!!!!!....Need to sell quick......I need the money bad, so someone's getting a great deal!!! This is a special ONE OF A KIND!!! knife from Ban.
.175" Thick And Skeletonized!!!! And my Grail Knife... Just Flawless! Im actually taking a real bad hit on this one, due to financial issues.
I have both a Boss Street and a Cabs, and really wanted something in the middle of these thicknesses for a user knife. If anyone feels the same, then this ones for you!
The blade is flat grind and the edge comes down to a perfect zero convex edge.
It is not thin like the ABS versions, so you don't have to be afraid to pry or do any real hard work with her! And, she is not as tank thick as originally (.25" I believe), now it is a perfect working edge on a PERFECT .175" thick blade, expertly done by BAN, and most of you know all about his work. I feel that this is the perfect thickness for a small blade like this,(again, only in my opinion) and it took Ban a long time to grind this all the way from 1/4" thick, thus the cost and time of the job and work detail. And, drilling the extra holes took him quite a bit of time, too. I have some more pics that BAN sent me of the skeletonized tang, so PM me if you want for those.
Again, this is the last knife Ban was working on, as he no longer has time to do mods, and he is working on his own knives now.
In some pics you can see the "frosty satin" finish that Ban is known for. The first and last pic are Ban's photos. This knife just feels amazing in the hand.
This was to be my personal knife, but due to financial issues I just can't keep her. The price I paid for the knife, the work done on her, and shipping both ways, means I am not even breaking even on this. I have only had the knife in my possession in my safe for a month or two now. I haven't even gotten the chance to use her at all yet. Just fondled her carefully a couple times and put her back to sleep in the safe.
This knife can take some serious abuse. Someone will be getting this deal of a lifetime.
If you were to have the custom shop do a special thickness knife like this, it would be $100/inch of the knife! So, yea, I am very sorry to let this one go. But someone will be very happy with this blade.
The BALANCE on this knife is just right with the holes drilled!
Ban just does amazing work AND, he is not taking anymore orders for modifications, so this is his last one!
