Wow! and Wow!

My mind is on my custom traditional folder collection today, so bringing this thread back up to the top. I was lucky enough to pick this up from Mr. Merz at the recent Lonestar Expo. My first custom lockback. Cream, blue and green mammoth with engraved bolsters. 2 3/8 inch blade. It is much nicer than the picture shows. I can't shake the feeling this knife is too good for me.

Great knife. Mr. Merz makes a good piece. I've seen his work at two shows now, and finally bought one, but unfortunately I am pictureless. I think he deserves more attention. He's actually "affordable" compared to some.

I'm waiting (July or August he said) for a custom ryu off pattern kickback stockman. It'll be smaller than his normal at 3 7/8" and have a wharncliff and pen secondaries. Plus they will be reversed so that the main and the wharncliff both open right handed. Can't wait!

They are all nice but that last one the swayback Davidson. Whewww that one really talks to me.

Al Warren stockman in dyed sambar stag. Should be done this week I hope! With some minor changes to the blade grinds.
