So I traded for a Wicked Edge gen 1 system. I then sold the original stones and purchased new ones along with additional strops, extra coarse and ceramic stones...then finally the new ProPack 2 arms. I then took some measurements and came up with a game plan to make my own base and stone holder. It resembles the gen 3 base but cost my a fraction of the money. The granite was given to me by my friend, the the oak, mdf, lexan and aluminum sheet cost me about 50$.

Let me like what you think and any thoughts for additions or improvements.

Thanks man! It is heavy but I made it to be mobile. So the granite top comes right off. Than I'm left with just the base so each on their own is very manageable

Very nice!!

Super job, I just bought the low angle adaptor for mine. You look to be all set up. Love how you store the stones underneath 👍

Thanks all! How's the low angle adapter? It must be necessary for sharpening knives like the 940. To be honest I haven't even sharpened any knife yet. I just finished this morning before work...and I'm just getting home now. So can't wait to try it out. I think I'm going to start with my Pm2 user.

Let me know how the low angle adapter is because I sold my 940-1 and I think I want one again lol.

Few more pics from this past week of sharpening a few different knives. I must say I'm super impressed with the wicked edge as a whole. There is definitely a learning curve with each blade and steel having its own unique set of challenges. I did run into one problem while sharpening my 4th knife. My new set of 1200/1600 ceramic stones had a glue malfunction. One of the stones separated....and not even while sharpening but just placing on the guide arm. It just came apart.

Great setup. Terrific design and craftsmanship.

I have Wicked Edge Pro Pack and think it is great but I wish I had your base and storage for the stones.....

Nice work!
