customize a custom knife - knife maker wanted? or shop?

I have my "beast" it is 13.25 in with 8" blade subhilt. E. De Leon, replaced my voorhis, SS vs carbon.

I like too get ideas about customizing the blade, it is now slightly non reflective finish, with ats-34, made by E De Leon.

i like too have a beast, ya a tattoo on it, and some design work on the blade if possible. I have no idea, about this, please tell me if you know anything i am a newbie too modding a high end custom knife.

This knife fits me perfect, so it is in my edc set - back woods/shtf slayer - black bear defender. Camp knife is not going to cut it against a Bear! Ya i been faced to face with beers in the boundary waters. And others.

Anyways, i am looking to darken the blade and perhaps retain the original finish in the design area with the rest of the blade darkened out for less reflection and too personalize. maybe i just need a coating process?

"Da Beast" also on the blade.

i really have not idea? Any ideas please post them, please no negative comments about wrecking a knife or what ever. It has al ready been carried and sharpened.

Like most of your posts, I'm not entirely sure what your asking.


Sounds like you need a laser engraver more then a knife maker.

You can have all kinds of custom engraving added to your custom blade.


Try Jason at DLT.


And yes, there are products on the market that will darken stainless steel.

I'm with Big Mike, having trouble deciphering exactly what you're asking for, but I can say that you should not go up against a bear with any kind of blade and expect that to go well. Much better to have some kind of large caliber firearm. And make sure you know what you're doing with it.

i have bad carpel tunnel and eye sight i been off the computer for week or so.

I want too know if my polished blade can be customized, like PVD. It has been carried and used even though it is expensive knife i like too have it customized. i do not want it engraved.

i wondered if ATS-34 mirror polish can be coated with tough coating and pattern put on it in this case a beast, my name and lot of it blacked out.

As far as bears, i have had no gun and had a black bear a few feet from me - boundry water is no guns! but lots of bears so large subhilt is best up close and large axe in the other hand! It is kind of scary but they look so cute?

if you set your gun or bow down, subhilt is way better then a camp knife on my side - imho

ideas: maybe a blueing process? or hard anno or new phos coatings? any knife makers customize knife blades. thx!
