Nearly 25 years old Chris Reeve Sebenza Regular BG-42 with after market handles customized by bhyde (bladeforums.com user/moderator).

Looks like a 1997 knife as scales bear C97 mark, no box, no certificate, just the knife.

Very smooth action, perfectly centered, solid lock. Clear evidence of Sebenza's superior trademark quality even after nearly 25 years. I can do more pictures if you are interested in any specific detail.

Story of the knife:
The origin of the custom handles and part of the knife's story can be found in this old thread: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/sebenza-regular-help-with-identification.1251981/
Bears signs of use, edced for sure, possibly used as well in the first decade of its life. Then it made its way to Europe where the owner before me purchased it in 2008. I purchased it from him and have been keeping it in a safe for the last 9 years.

SOLD.

If interested send email to pepa123@protonmail.com (no PMs pls). I reserve the right to do business with whoever I want to.

I will keep this post running for few days before I confirm any deal. If bhyde shows interest to buy it for the asking price I will give him priority (I aproached him but not getting response since last week).

Wow! I was ready to keep this post running until I hear from you (bhyde), be it yes or no, but knowing for sure your word. Luckily it took just 8 minutes. The quarter century long story of this masterpiece is now complete :).
Really appreciate it!!
If for some reason BHyde can't get it, I'd like to buy it on his behalf. I'd ask you to send it directly to him.
Thanks LW!!

Very very cool piece of history. Really enjoyed reading the background of this knife, fantastic it's come full circle!
