customized factory knives

Brancon - stellar modifications! They are all unique and really pleasing to the eye. The Mili with the acid wash blade and brown (micarta?) scales is all class. Care to share where you had that done?

That was done by Kevin Smock, with a rough sand/bead blast finish on the micarta, but I sent it to Steve Ketchen (spketch) and he polished it up (more to my liking).

Well, they may have done the work but you made it happen. Really nice - all of them. If you're ever of a mind to sell one, keep me in mind! Seriously.

Loooooove that ZT Steve! It's subtle, but still jumps out at you!
Excellent mod!
Joe

Thanks, Joe. A favorite. Handsome and understated, just like its owner. :D

Added the Himalayan ram's horn to a Buck 112.

And this sambar stag to an older Buck 55.

And this is a piece of cherry from an old closed down Ethan Allen factory along with part of a broken axe handle...maybe ash?
I added cloth with epoxy between the two different woods on this Buck 110.

That was clearly for me. I'm sure Joe thinks those Bucks are gorgeous, too.

I figured you were messin' around with someone Joe.

Here is one of my favorites.
I ground off the rear nickel silver bolster from a standard custom shop Buck 110, then added mammoth ivory with a nickel silver spacer and a buffalo horn spacer.

Damn Stumps!! That is some BEAUTIFUL work my friend!!!
I'm in love with the first one......that one looks amazing brother!!
Joe

PS......really glad you knew that was NOT directed at you!!! Chazzzzzy and I mess with each other all the time!

Thanks! That one is a Grayman Dua that has been modified by Steve Ketchen (spketch here on Blade Forums) and Josh of Razor Edge Knives (razor-edge-knives here). Here's a post I made over at reddit.com/r/knifeclub: https://www.reddit.com/r/knifeclub/...n_dua_with_grass_tweed_micarta_and_a_regrind/

Some more pics: https://www.instagram.com/p/BJy6NtSjMaM/ and https://www.instagram.com/p/BIdIWvKDvl1/

The Dua is an awesome knife straight from Grayman, but Steve's scales make it a little more special (plus I prefer the smoothness of polished micarta to textured G10), and Josh's regrind not only makes it slice a bit better/gives it a cool shape, but brings the blade length a little under 3" so I can carry the knife openly where I live (per a silly Los Angeles County ordinance).
