I see no need for a saber grind on something .25" and up, also see no need to remove the top guard as it seems pretty low profile. That being said, I know there are many who will disagree with this so as always YMMV....

I think the actual tint on the sage blade is more correct in this picture, though.....

BOOYAH! That is one of the photos I had seen. Does the black canvas actually look THAT green-ish? That is how it appears on ... um... three computer screens that I've seen it on now. Well, actually, one computer, two i-devices.

This I would agree with. I have a desert sage Ratmandu, and it looks more like the sage in this photo.

No, it's probably my crappy camera. The whole tint on my top picture is definitely off. I'd say that picture of elof's R6 drop point is much closer to true color, although the slabs seem to vary somewhat between runs.

You might luck out, like I just did. The last order I placed through the custom shop took right around 16 weeks (that was my R6)...I just got the Ready To Ship email yesterday for the RMD I ordered at the beginning of the month. Now I'm thinking about selling something to finance another Rodent 6 (grey on blue/black, to match my other RMD).

That's part of the reason I want it. The other part is I also consider it a "short man's" Team Gemini. The Team Gemini, at 7.75" blade length, is well beyond that sweet spot for what I like my blades to be. A 7" blade is about the hard maximum that I will comfortably carry, because I'm kinda short myself, and 5'6". I've got a few 6" blades that carry fine, a couple that are just under 7" that can get irritating on a long day. So, the Rodent 6 reads to be a better fit for me.
I think you, and I, just caught the right spot in a production run. I ordered my Ratmandu on 2/6, got the charge on 2/20, and got the blade on 3/7, IIRC.
