Customized Ruger

Man...I've looked at Gemini Customs Many times, drooling over the aesthetic quality of their work. Fantastic combo, brother. Very Nice.

Love that Ruger xaman!!! A really great looking combo that I would be proud to carry. Now there's an idea. go ahead and send it east brother.

That is a darn nice little 357mag 5 shooter. I have a GP100 that can handle very stout louds and have been comtemplating a SP101. Ever try the 180 or 200gr buffalo bore stuff out of that little gun?

Very nice gun how do you like the moon clips are you useing metal or plastic? I have been useing the plastic ones in a .45 ACP Smith with good results.

What's the one on the upper right ?

That is my Gramp's .357 S&W model 66 (if my memory serves me correctly). I just happened to be the lucky grand child that got it (I guess having my grandfather's first name as my middle name came in handy).

I still have the original wooden grips, and the holster he bought with it (The grips look nice, but they are horrible for actually shooting, I need to get a set of nice contoured wood grips to dress it up. It sure does shoot sweet.

The gun should be just fine strength wise, but I don't know about overall length issues on the rounds. I would sure be interested in hearing if anyone knows. It makes a very unobtrusive woods gun, and more punch than the 158 grain's I carry as woods "medicine" would be nice.

I saw those ports, and I bet they do reduce recoil. . . but they probably reduce velocity and pressure even more, especially being so far back on the barrel. then there is the blinding flash in the face at night if used in a self defense situation.

I have not really noticed a huge difference in night vision being affected between my ported Glock .40, and shooting a friends in really low light (alternating back and forth). One thing for sure is that if you shoot low, and close to the body, you really FEEL more blast and pressure on your face. If you had hot loads in it, and had to shoot upwards (like the bad guy was right up on you, and you were putting it up in his sternum when you pulled the trigger) you might do some actual damage to your eyes.

No, but I need to order some to try it out. It's surprisingly mild in the recoil department, after shooting the scandium 2" SW.

JP,

Marc sends 10 metal clips out with his mods... I actually haven't done much with them yet. Like I said, I need to practice :o I hope to give it enough time to be competent, 5 rounds is just not enough...

Wow.... great looking set Eli!

That's one of the best looking KB's I've ever seen!
