Here is my latest refurb!
Utica Cutlery Kutmaster Barlow
Sheepsfoot and pen - Carbon steel
Antique Axe handle covers (Hickory?)
Covers are from a broken axe handle of mine that I need to re-hang. It was inherited from my wife's grandfather. I cut the knife handle slabs from the axe handle at an angle to the grain, producing the beautiful pattern that you can see. I took the two handle pins out of the knife, and removed the springs. I left the pivot intact, and cleaned everything. I flattened out the brass liners, and reassembled with new nickel silver pins.
I decided to leave much more of the original character in the knife's bolsters, blades, and springs. The only thing completely removed was the knife's original broken plastic handles. I did polish everything to remove any surface crud from the steel, but I did not sand any of it like I did the wood, other than the springs and liners along the back to make sure it was all even. Finally, new razor edges applied to both blades. This knife is pinch-open friendly, and has good snap opening and closing on both blades. No blade play!
I would like to ask for $58 or best offer for this knife shipped to your door USPS, all PayPal fees included. Thanks for taking a look!
Claim it here, send me a PM, and then pay via http://paypal.me/jprime84 - If you would prefer to wait for my acknowledgement before paying, that's fine too. If you choose to pay as "friends/family" instead of "goods", please make sure I get a shipping address from you.
