customizing a buck 110

Just wondering how to dissassemble the 110 so I can do some file work and maybe change the scales with some nicer materials, ( eg. turquoise, m.o.p. etc.)

Search for posts by Chickentrax. He does a bunch of really cool mods on 110s and has posted detailed instructions on how to get the sucker apart.

Yes, welcome Joe, Mr. Chickentrax has also posted photos of all the 110 parts so you know what to expect when you rip into it. Make sure you post photos of your work when you're all done.

:cool: ...ahhh...those 110's and windows tremble in fear when the McNuggetrax walks by...He does a great job of taking both apart with GUSTO...LOL...and welcome to the forum...Don't forget the pictures too...:D :D :p
 
Thanks to everyone who replied. I'll check out Chickentrax, and thankyou for welcoming me to your forum. I'm really looking forward to modifying knives before I build customs from scratch. I'll probably try a kit after I mod a couple of 110's. Thanks again....Joe
 
welcome to the forum,. great bunch of guys here. I too was looking for chickentrax's post on getting these things apart, but I can't seem to find it, any help?

Ugh...CRS kicking in again...it was a three-page thread, something about 110's, not really about taking them apart, just asking a question and then it kind of snowballed...tell you what; look for a post on drop-point 112's by me; there was a link to the 110 thread in it... :thumbup:

(Actually, there's been several threads where I tore these things apart...) :rolleyes:

BTW: There's been a manure-cart full of hackers doing things to 110's over the years here; you might have to search a bunch of threads in the Archives, and in the Knife Mangler Forum, but there's some good stuff to be found... ;)
