hey guys i recently got my horizon d cf and i absolutely love this knife. but the Damascus ish anodinzing on it kinda ruins the knife for me. its not a bad look, its just not my style. i was thinking of either a cracked ice (like on my mini bodega) in blue or blue to purple fade on the pocket clip back spacer and pivot (and color match the hardware). but i would love to hear some alternatives to this, however this is a everyday carry and will see lots of use. its not a knife i will knowingly take to do extremely hard use but if i have it on me and the opportunity arises it will be used hard. so nothing too extreme or flashy that will make me not want to ever take it out of my desk. with that in mind i would also like to hear some ideas for the handle, as of now i was planning on not touching it but i would change my mind if i see something cool.

I'd say no to anodizing, at least in blue. Blue anodizing is very susceptible to color changes just from the oils off your hand, As your EDC you would certainly notice that, so If you want to anodize it you could try to heat anodize it bronze (a dark bronze, as to minimize color fade). Cracked ice finish sounds cool though, I think it would look good being a bit understated by the bronze. I wouldn't do anything to the handle, otherwise it might start looking too pimp-y.

I bought a used Horizon D Cf that had been anodized bronze, including the horrible fauxmascus hardware and the blade dark acid washed. It's the Horizon D I always wanted!

the problem is everything is already anodized blue stock. and i agree with the statement on the handle as i said its and everyday carry so i don't want over the top color and looks. what i would like is something that does the knife justice for what it is because i love this knife and when i show it to someone i want them to go "damn dude" but i need a balance because as you said this is an edc and it will be used.
