Customizing my Rat-4

I order a new set of custom scales for my Rat-4 and they came in this weekend.

I also made a new lanyard for the knife. So here are the pics.

I purchased the custom scales on Ebay.

Nice did you have to send your knife away?

Yes I had to send the knife off to get the blade convexed & recurved.

When I purchased this knife on a different forum it had a partial serrated edge, which I didn't mined at first but then I wanted to get the knife convexed and the guy that did the convex for me suggested to do a recurve to the blade.

greyhound352, I also have a RC-4 with serrations that I would like taken off. How much did they charge for regrinding and convexing your 4. Also, did you send it off or did you take to someone nearby your home. Also can you recommend a place to take my knife and have this done. I am from St. Louis, MO but I am currently mobilized in the DC area with the reserves, just as a frame of reference if you know any places near either of those cities, thanks and your knife looks great! Also if anybody else can answer this feel free to give your input as well.

Very nice! Recurve looks sweet, as do the scales. I was thinking about doing this to the scales on my 3, but I haven't quite decided yet.

I have learned alot from Stormdrane’s blog. This is the basic cobra stitch/Solomon bar/Portuguese sinnets, but done with two colors. Their are various ways to join the two colors together, I believe on the blog he explains how to.
