Customizing my sodbuster jr.

So I am very curious (and envious)... i see all these Case Sodbuster Jrs with different color handles, and i am interested in customizing mine... i have a yellow ss, a black ss, and the big american workman sodbuster. and i want to change my black one to have a redish composite handle.. how do i do this without ruining my favorite knife? where could i get the right material? and how do i put it on without breaking the brass?... so pretty much i just wanna know everything i can about this.. and i wanna hear all the advise and tips from all the experts out there... cause although i love knives, and have my own little collection goin on... i am not too familiar with all the intricacies of knife making.
