Is this a common practic now?
I have two blades go to our Northern neighbors and both packages have appeared to be opened.
I even marked the last strider shipped as a pry tool, lol.

Just wondering if anyone is in the know.

Thanks

Usually if it is searched by the customs authority it's marked somehow. They usually tape it back up with tape that says inspected or something on it. I've had one package that has come that way. Was a little while ago though.

But then again I just got a package from Argentina that was opened when I received it. All the tape cut and was obviously opened.

Its always been like this, although it can be a hit and miss. I've had 600 dollar knives make it to me without being inspected and I've also had a Spyderco delica that was held up for a month. There are a lot of factors and its no guarantee your package will stay untouched.

They only open about 10% of the ones I get it seems. They did inspect a 3" Hinderer and cut the little Ziploc Baggie open with a razor or such. Guess it was too complicated to open the "regular" way.

I have had a few opened by Aus Customs on the way in (the description on the box does not matter as the scanning lets them know just what is inside anyway ;) ) and one held for 5 days and opened by US customs before it was processed and sent down here.
