Customs Says "NO EXTENSION!" - They Want Your Pocket Knives NOW?????

Cheers to Doug and everyone who is involved in fighting for our knife rights. I personally hope this will go nowhere. It seems there is too much money, taxes and revenue that will be lost if they put knifemakers out of business. So its quite possible that I will be carrying a concealed pistol, but my daily carry blade will be illegal. Bullshit.

Customs say, that all assisted openers are "Automatic" knives. They also say that all one hand knives are "Automatic" knives and that any knife that you can pinch the blade open far enough to snap the handle down is an "Automatic". All of these knives will be forbidden entry to the U.S. and the new deffinition will become the law of the land and then Dept of Commerce will forbid them in Interstate Commerce. Then we are all screwed.

My Dad sent me a Vic SAK Cadet, so now I have my Peanut, and this 1. Am I going to have any trouble getting them back home from Iraq? I'm looking at an approximate demob date of Sep-Oct.

I cannot believe that you will have any problem, but, dealing with the idiots in U.S. Customs is always possible, Customs has many, many good people, but it only takes one idiot to spoil your day. My advice is to send them to your dad and mark the package Handtools, and mark as a gift they are unlikely to open the package. Good Luck, A. G.

No. They are slip-joints.
