I did this to myself back in November. I decided I might as well post up a pic and start a thread about it. Feel free to post pics of your mistakes! ;)


PS: It grew back like nothing ever happened.

Thats nasty. The worst I ever do is more of a slice, though I did stab myself once requiring stitches. Part of your thumb is gone, but I guess you figured that out.
 
Did the same thing with a Spyderco J.D. Smith last Christmas. I'm a lot more careful now when when I slice notebook paper to test the sharpness of a knife. :D
 
how the heck did you manage that?

I had a knife open in my pocket straight from the kershaw sale. i still have the scar.

I was holding a hair in between my left thumb and index finger - and I was flicking the blade toward the hair and tree-topping them.

I got a little careless, and treetopped the tip of my thumb off. The actual tip of my thumb was found about 3 feet away by my fiancee.
 
That's nasty. :eek: I'm curious how well did it heal? It probably will continue to heal for awhile. Take care!
