Cute little Varmint Gun

other interestign tidbit, the owner of that pistol is also a member of accuratereloading.com. That is the RO in the vid trying to shoot it, not the owner. you could tell the guy in the vid had no idea what to do with it! Neither would I to be honest...

I don't know much about muskets but when I was at Central Texas Knife Show I saw an old .54cal muzzle loading rifle. Is that the same gun you are talking about? It was loaded by flipping up the chamber and loading it that way. I think it was back during the Civil War days or something.

No this was loaded from the muzzle. I think around 70 cal.--it's been about 20 years.

Sound like you may have seen a breechloader. I have an original Sharps Carbine (.52 cal) that has a falling block. It takes a giant (usually conical bullet and about 90 gr. of blackpowder. The bullet's much faster than one might expect, and it's pretty thunderous sounding, but it doesn't knock you over or anything.

Jacob I was looking all over for those vids. Guess I just didnt type in teh right thing under search (obviously).
