This knife turned out resembling something like a half sized pirate cutlass. The blade was forged from an old Nicholas file, still has a few grid marks left just past the guard.
Steel: File (W 1/2 most likely)
OAL: 16.5"
Width: 1.25"
Thickness: 3/8" distal taper
Bevel: Double Flat grind
Guard: Forged 3/8" square stock
Handle: Dark Walnut. The butt was turned on the lathe while the main portion was sanded out.
