So in case everyone has gotten bored with the recent drama around here, let me introduce something new!!

This is a nice design by Mtech a division of Master Cutlery, too bad they stole it from Todd.

Todd's Pantera.

MC approached Todd two years ago about doing design work for them. Todd declined, telling them that he didn't want to be associated with a company that routinely stole other makers designs. They told us they were working hard to change that and go legit......I guess old habits are hard to break.

I am so sorry to see this!!!

I admire Todd's work sooo much and have handled many pieces such as his neckers. Unforetunately, a high-school restricts my spending.

I hope no idiot buys one.....:(
 
You know, we often hear makers crying foul about their style being copied, but it's usually silly things like, "my drop point"....

This, however, is a completely obvious copy of a style that is definitively Todd's. :eek:

They may look very similar and thats pretty obvious and blatant there I agree but we all know those are copies cat illegal clones. I bet they don't open and close buttery smooth like Todd's knives do!

MTech/Master Cutlery have been thieves for as long as they have been in business. They will continue to do business the way they always have. I would boycott them except they are a company I would have never bought anything from in the first place.

Yeah, for a knifeknut to boycott MTech is like a person on the straight and narrow saying "I'm never buying angeldust from that guy!"

Very sorry to see Todd's design ripped off. :(

You know you have arrived when Master knocks you off.
Congrats. Use this to your advantage! They don't knock off just anyone.

Master is by no means the "Mainstream" cutlery industry. They are a very powerful force in the flea market and gun show scene, however.

Just kidding. Well, I don't think they'll be stealing any sales from Mr. and Mrs. Begg. Hopefully you guys will get a sale or two out of it through the exposure though. Don't get mad, get even!
