Cutting and machining 304/316 stainless

newbie here. first knife in work. will post pic soon. need recommendations on cutting and drilling stainless. want to make bolster and trim with 316L 1/2" x 1" flat stock.(hey,it was in the scrap bucket) this stuff seems to eat bimetal band saw blades and laughs at my attempts to drill it even using new cobalt bits. any ideas?

50 sfm on the drilling
50 divide by .262 divide by drill dia
(50/.262/.125 drill =1526 rpm
