Cutting edge angle for Large field craft of camp knife ? What is most most usable cutting edge angle/geometry ? You choose the steel.

Dude, I'll be honest. Buy some knives, actually use them for an entire day, then use them for another month every day. Then decide what works best for you and then buy some steel and a grinder and grind out a knife or a few. Then come back here and ask specifics about your design. It's called knifemaking. Do you own damn R&D, and actually know something about your product. We aren't going to decide for you. Do the damned leg work already.

Wow KRIS you got up on the wrong side of bed today methinks. :)

I also think OP should have used more words like: "Please, thank you" and possibly a suggestion and the words what do you think.

FFK,
This is shop Talk. We discuss the knives we are making here. We don't discuss Sodbusters vs ESEE or toss out random questions with no answer. I have read most of your posts and all seem based on you discussing folders and/or trying to order a knife made to your specifications. That isn't what Shop Talk is for.

If you are building a camp knife and want to discuss the steel choice, or discuss the angles that would be a suitable subject. But make it specific , not just a random question like the one you posted in this thread.
The answer to most general questions, like edge angle or steel choice, can be easily found in a search. Either use Google, or use the Bladeforums search engine ;

I will close this thread. Please resist posting similar ones in Shop Talk.
