I do not have a band saw and want to get some of the James Todd green G10. How can i cut it? Will a tile cuter work on 1.5" thick G10? Any other poor boy methods to cut this stuff, I know it is tough. Thanks!

G10 is fiberglass filled epoxy resin. You can cut it with anything you would use to cut fiberglass laminate (i.e glass filled Polyester resin). Most any saw with an 18 TPI or finer will do. Carbide blades will hold up much better. Since you don't have a band saw, perhaps you have a saber saw? Hope this helps.

Jim-I do have a saber saw. Wonder how difficult it would be to cut 1.5" thick G10 with it? This is the thickness of the slab i want to order.:o

Warren Thomas uses cheap tile saws from Harbor Freight. The only cost about 200.00 and last about a year.

You can cut it with a tile saw. Plasplugs makes one for the big box stores for about $70 new or craigslist used might be an idea for about $40. When you cut it you'll need to flip it over because it is 2" thick, and take the blade guard off. Its slow but I think the water cuts down on that nasty dust, so I prefer it.
