Cutting G10

Metal cutting bandsaw. It will eat a wood cutting blade like butter.

I cut G10 with a jigsaw with a carbide tile cutting blade. Also works for carbon fibre, I'm still on the same blade after 4 years.

So far we have been cutting our G-11 or some call it G-10 with a wet tile saw, using a diamond blade, we have used 2 blades, but have cut up over 12,000 lbs of the material. A wet tile saw will keep down the dust and fumes, much safer than a dry dusty cut.

Good Luck,
Jim

I agree that the metal cutting bandsaw works well for this stuff, never cut it with a jigsaw but I have cut it by hand.

Exactly what SDS said! Back when I was slumming it with some tools I used a cutting disc in the dremel and MADE SURE to wear a good respirator! Man that made so much dust I never wanted to cut the stuff. Now the metal cutting bandsaw does it like it's nothing, and there's no real fine dust either.

Thanks Guys, I give it a try with my portable metal bandsaw. My wood cutting bandsaw sure didn't like it. I didn't realise it was so tough.
