More forge building stuff. I am wondering what the best way is to cut accurately hard fire bricks. I would like to use them for my floor, but they are really a pain to cut.

Thanks,

John

i gave up on trying to cut mine, but darren ellis' site says cut them with a masonry blade in a chop saw,
i would guess a masonry blade in a circular saw would work too, good luck

I think the old mason fellows use to use a brick chisel to snap them.
but the masonry blade is a good way to go too :)

A masons hammer + skill , then correct mistakes with a masonary blade !!

my wife does stained glass and has a diamond blade band saw cuts like butter
you can do cuts so intricate you could make a puzzle out of brick. bb

Masonry blade for the chopsaw was about $100, while the blade for my angle grinder was about $8--guess which one I bought:)

Thanks for the help. You guys are great.

John
