cutting ht blade

lets say i was wanting to cut the tip off a blade thats already heat treated and cryoed. is it possible to do so without having to re heat treat it. if it is possible what would i use. could i use a band saw and cut it an 1/8 in. away from my final line and then grind it from there any suggestion would be appriecated.
i almost forgot its a 1095 blade with a 57-58 rc. thanks

Just grind it carefully and dunk it in water when it starts to heat up.

Band saw won't cut that very well. Like decker said, grind it and keep it cool.

Been there, tried it. Doesn't work. Grind and keep it cool.

thanks everyone grinding slowly and keeping it cool it is the way im going . im glad this forum is here or i would be a train wreck waiting to happen.
