Cutting Nail Nicks??

Would someone please detail for me how to cut a nail nick? I have used dovetail cutters and they work fine...but you cannot get the very long sweep with one. I know you should probably use a fly cutter or somesuch name with a custom ground cutter. What does this cutter look like and what are correct angles on this cutter? I have a medium size mill so I think I can do it ...but need a little direction. Many thanks.

i had a lot of problems with this also. i can't explain. if you mail me a fly cutter i will grind a bit for you that way you can see how it is shaped

The dovetail diameter affects length to a point.Since you have a mill,square every thing up,then sink the dovetail cutter in,finaly use your x or y axis to lengthen the cut.
