Hey Guys,

Ok, I've got this expensive piece of oosik. Now how to cut it. I think I'll go with a hacksaw or dovetail saw. My bandsaw wont cut that straight.

What do you all use?

Just pickin' ya'lls brains

I use a back saw with fine teeth. The spine stiffener gets in the way sometimes, but the kerf is narrow and there is little waste and the cuts are straight.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. I've done started cutting on it. I started with a hand saw. Finished with my metal cutting bandsaw. After flat sanding (and I mean lots of flat sanding

), I got a good fit.

Worked well for the big piece I have now. Won't work so well for smaller pieces. Oh well, I'll figure something out then!

In case you ain't figured it out already, this is the first time I've worked oosik. Neat stuff!! Even if the wife won't touch it or have anything to do with it

Thanks guys!
