I don't know if this will help But I ocasionally use a dremel with a carbide cutting wheel.

you know that you can buy carbide grit hacksaw blades for about $5 a blade, they should tear though knife steel. i use a plasma cutter, but they're expensive. it's my dad's he just lets me use it. inexpensive bandsaws produce alot of vibration, so wear good gloves or you'll feel it by the end of the day.
