Cutting the Wedding Cake: Combat Grade or Custom Shop?

TW, Congrats Bro and I have to agree on the SK or Custom AK (Satin)
Good luck and best wishes!!!

Hey guys, well a little over a weak ago I made the decision - a little more practical than I had originally planned, but never the less I'm excited and more than pleased!

Went back and forth on what to get and finally decided to get a blade for our cake that I've always loved and when all is said and done, I can get real use out of while still being a beautiful and special blade that stands apart from the rest.

So... I went for a BWM LE (thanks SAHARAT!!) :D:D:D:D

What a gorgeous blade - the satin and black paper is nice and classy for cutting the cake and everything else about the blade is just perfection for woods carry and camping. The balance is just unreal. Whats even better is that my fiance really loves it as well :)

Next step is sending it in to the Spa for an engraving and finding a nice sheath - I'm a kydex guy, but I know this blade demands leather :D

The new blade (doesnt come close to doing it justice!):

And a pic of the happy couple :D

CONGRATS!!!

I think your BWM LE would be a great choice.

But I will give another vote for the SK. :D

I got married this past June to the love of my life!
We decided to go with an SK for our cake knife.
(Yes... she's that cool!)

I will recommend that YOU grab the handle of the knife first though...
Otherwise, you'll have to do most of the cutting with the index finger of
your other hand if you want to avoid crushing your new brides hand. :o

Whateever you decide, it will bring BIG smiles to your guests. :D

So... you can make that 4 known weddings ResinGuy.

Make that 5... Nick86 (guessing at the number???) used one for his wedding as well.
Don't remember which one though.

Congrats again brother... Best wishes for you and your bride to be!!

.

I loved my BWMLE I would have them smooth the slabs while it's at the spa. Definitely a Tuxedo Knife.

Congratulations, TW! You two make a beautiful couple, and I wish you every happiness!

Hmmm....love both the SK and the AK. User's choice so long as you make it satin for that special day!

congratulations

I know what I used :D

Satin will definitely look better. Many options. SK's are super sweet, but they are going to run you a pretty penny.

It all depends on your wedding budget. You can pick up a satin AK pretty cost effectively off the exchange.

FBMLE, FBMSE, all kinds of big satin out there for pretty great prices.

Looks like a great engagement photo.

I have been married for 10 years. Did not even know about Busse when I got married, so it was not even an option.

I gave my daughter a BWMLE to cut the cake at their wedding this past July. It worked out great and everyone was impressed, so I'd vote for the BWMLE and agree you made a good choice. Congrats on your engagement:thumbup:

Capital One Viking ads !! A new one for me the Viking uses a battle ax to cut his wedding cake .The ax goes through a multitiered cake and through the table !!

Best wishes for the newlyweds !

My vote is for a special Dress Tuxedo style Mistress, MOAB or just go crazy and kill the cake with an AK or Ruck.

Satin with G-Rexed Black G-10 and bone would be pretty sharp!

Congrats again :) If I could go back in time three and a half years I would love to cut the cake with some Infi!
