This one is a true mystery for you out there who are researchers. I bought a bunch of blades back in the late 70's early 80's which have sat in my safe. I've sold them all except for this one. It now goes up!
All i recall about this blade is that i bought it at the Great Western Gun and Knife expo in California and the maker was pretty well known. He had a pretty good sized booth with many of his blades on display. He advertised this one as his Last Ditch knife, carry every where do anything.
The makers markings on the right side of the blade read "CV" and below to the right of that mark is a little mark that is indistinguisable.
It has a 4" Blade, 1/8" thick, and 7 1/2" overall. It has filework on the spine and a small gut-hook. There is a little "Safe Wear" on the left side of the micarta scales, but i believe that will polish out. Its has a mirror polish blade and has never cut anything or been carried.
There you go.
If anyone finds anything on "CV" i'd sure like to know.

I received the knife today and it was exactly as described.

Thank you for a good experience in the forum!
