I just got an aluminum handled 1630 Cyclone. It's a great knife :thumbup:. I've never handled one before today, and it was love at first flick. It's better than the Blurs that I have owned. I like the solid handle feel, and the "on" and "off" switch for the assisted opening. Great blade shape too. I look forward to putting this knife to good use, and I'll start looking for a Ti version soon as well.

Let me know what you guys think of it, J.

The Ti/ZDP-189 version of the Mini-Cyclone is really nice and they are still pretty easy to find (it's the only one I currently have). ;)

I've had quite a few Cyclones (I'm down to just two of 'em now). They are a very excellent folder.:thumbup:.:thumbup:.

You will like the Ti as well, the ZDP holds an edge:thumbup:
Here is mine after a few mods 1.Thinner grind. 2. Add a Choil. 3. Add a Henderer stop. 3. Move clip up higher. 4. Flame color the Ti.

I just got my first cyclone in yesterday (PE mini cyclone) and i have yet to put it down!
This should be my edc for a while, at least until i find a Ti version:D

Yep, Cyclones are cool. I love both the Large, and the Mini. In fact, I just got the Mini this last week, and really like it; nearly perfect for my casual dress situation. I say nearly perfect because I want the Ti/ZDP189.

Gotta go Sweet Talk my Wife; my birthday's less than two months away!:thumbup:

Well, I thought they were...it's not that long ago now that I got mine and up until recently I was still seeing a fair amount of new ones...but I just did a quick Google and can't find them...my bad...:o

okay then. cause SPX and I have been on somewhat of a quest, and i have one i use every single work day, and one factory second i keep around mostly for parts and things. but i will be hunting for an NIB, lightly used is acceptable but i'd rather it be pristine as i would like to lock her up in case i completely destroy my EDC. that being said. hey thomas, how bout a super small sprint run of Olive Drab Titanium Handled ZDP mini cyclones? you only have to make one ::)
 
I've been using both the large and mini for awhile now and can't say enough good about each. The large is always on the bike and the mini in my pocket pretty much every day. I like em as well or better than any folder i've used.

Or two, because i am having trouble finding one of the other ones and i do like Kershaw's OD green...:D
 
or 10 and we can make it same rules as ferrari enzo, you have to have previously owned a kershaw OD BLUR in s60v and then you can have one of these awesome cyclones

I'd like to see more OD Green choices on Kershaw knives, especially on ANY Cyclone model. :thumbup::thumbup:
 
The Mini Cyclone TiZDP is my favorite Kershaw design, although my RAM is giving it a run for the money, from form to function it's a thing of beauty. They seem to be getting harder and harder to find, new or used. I got lucky and got this fix me upper from a fellow forum member:D

I'd love to see another sprint run, maybe with a stone washed blade, half Ti, or SS and the other half a slab of G10:thumbup: While I'm daydreaming, might as well add a choil like the RAM's:D , but would be happy with another one just like my 1636TiZDP:thumbup:

I have been polishing the blade and clip on mine with a dremel and a few sanding bits. It's turning out pretty good now, I'll post pics when it's finished.
