I have never had any problem with any of my knives being slick or non- grippy when wet, and we have a kitchen well equipped with them finished the same way. Hope this helps. Mike
 
First D2 I have seen out of your workshop, I like the grinds.

Yes, Jim I really like maple burl. There is so much that these stabalizers can do with it for you, if they really try. Do you have a good source for the burl???
 
I have Woodcrafters get it for me. I just found some beautiful myrtle wood from Oregon that looks to be sweeter. Full of figure.
 
What a BARGAIN for such a beautiful knife. Mike does fabulous work. I surely like mine.

Beautiful knife, Mike. You should consider making some with micarta scales for us folks that don't favor wood. Bill.
