It has been quite a while since I've posted but I really wanted to share with you something wonderful that D.B Fraley and Jon Christensen made for me.

I can't believe it's been 11 years since I found this place - I had just gotten a Gerber knife and was getting educated to the fact that there were people out there in the world who actually made knives in their own shops (aka garages) and sold them to people. Over the last 11 years on this road of discovery I have shifted from being wowed and excited about everything, to becoming jaded by the sheer volume of great knives out there. Over the last few years I've really started to think of the knives rather than fantastic objects as a physical manifestation of the relationships that I've built along this journey.

This knife really embodies how I view my knife collecting. Two guys who I really respect and who work hard to produce the best pieces they can, working together to create something special for me. Not to mention Chuck and Jessica picking out the perfect piece of mammoth to make it all come together.

* D.B. Fraley Deluge 4.5 (it's BIG!)
* Jon Christensen, M.S. - Leaf Damascus
* Mammoth scales from Alpha Knife Supply

I hope you enjoy the images!

What a pleasure to view. On EVERY count. :thumbup:

This is a knife I would gush over also. I understand.

Welcome back. Thanks for the display. I think you nailed it on the relationships. :)

WOW!!

That is incredible! The bolsters, the spacer.. hell, I just showed my wife who has no use for knives and she was impressed!!

That's an awesome knife all around.

But that damascus IMO, is the best I've ever seen. I love that pattern.

You should be very proud.

That is a absolutely terrific folder - thanks for the look, Mitch.

That is a kick butt knife no matter how you look at it, Mitch.

Beautiful steel crafted into a piece that can be used all day long, what more could you ask for?

Best Regards,

This, to me, is what a successful collaboration looks like!

I like everything about it - the design, the steel, material choice and the execution, which looks flawless to me:D

congrats!

This is one of those knives that simply leaves me at a loss for words. You certainly got the entire package with this one. Well done!
