This is DOUBLE EDGED and razor sharp
Overall it's 16. 3/4" and weighs 26.5 0z.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 11. 3/8" X 1. 3/4" X 1/4" thick.
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are 1018 steel WELDED
to the full tang (no fittings to come loose - EVER).
The handle is 5.1/8" long with scales of Curly Maple.
The bevels are hand filed. I leave the file marks showing.
I like a handmade knife to look handmade.
The heavy leather sheath is cemented at the spacer and
handstitched with doubled waxed nylon saddle stitching thread.

SOLD

Thanks for looking,
Mike

I like it. but i don't have any funds to spend.
to me it has a "Traditional" look even though i don't really know what a "Traditional Bowie" looks like, despite(or more, because of) 3 years in the BRL forum.
solid, functional, dependable, no 'dress up'. yep, i really like it !
my congratulations to the maker.

p.s. how is handle girth for a slightly smaller than average male hand ? and where is the balance point ? light 'n quick ? or solid 'n substantial ?
darn, asking questions/gettin close ! i'm not 'supposed' to be doing this. weak conscience, powerful urges. ya'll know what i mean.

The handle is 3.5" around at the finger groove and 3.25" at the pinky
end. It's 3/4" wide at the bolsters and pommel and 1" wide in the palm.
It balances at the forward edge of the choil.
It's solid, substantial, and quick. Now light (26.5oz.), that's in the eye
of the beholder. It's light compared to some of my designs but you'll know
you've got a heavy duty tool in your hand.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, "The handle is 3.5" in dia. at the finger groove and 3.25" at the pinky"
do you mean diameter or circumference ?

Michael, picked this knife up at P.O. yesterday. Thank You. and a big, strong powerful user knife it is. very confidence inspiring indeed, and the handle is a good fit even for my slightly smaller hand. Great !
and you make an equally sturdy sheath too.
keep up the good work and let's see more of your knives posted here.
