THIS KNIFE IS DOUBLE EDGED
BOTH EDGES ARE SHARP
It's 12.5/8" overall and weighs 21 oz.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 7.3/8" X 1.3/4" X 1/4" thick.
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are 1018 steel WELDED
to the full tang.
The handle is 5" long with scales of Curly Maple.
The sheath is 10 oz. leather with black steel rivits and a
black steel snap. It's cemented at the spacer and hand stitched
using doubled waxed nylon saddle stitching thread.

The rough beveled blade is reheated in the forge to glowing red
and quenched in strained used motor oil. After it's cleaned of slag
it's brought back up in temp. untill it can be struck with a file.
I leave the file marks showing. I like a handmade knife to look
handmade.
This is how I harden / tempor my blades. They hold an edge
extremely well.

SOLD

Thanks for looking,
Mike

That's a dandy. Now if that blade was only 10" instead of 7...

This reminds me of something I've been meaning to tell you, Mike. I think it would be a great idea to include at least one shot of you or someone else holding the particular knife you put up for sale. Some of your designs make it difficult to get a realistic idea of the size of the knife being sold. The one I first noticed this on was your short sword. It's visual proportions gave me the impression of a full-size sword. Anyway, I just thought I'd throw that out as some constructive input. :D Keep up the great work!
