D Guard or Double Talon?

I thought it was priced high for sr101. that said, d guard

Regular price was high but the Hog Trough price for the DT was set right. Only thirty bucks more than a Rodent 9.

Thanks buddy, I think I like the D-guard myself although a good glove would be in order I suppose when beating on an object I think. Also maybe a nice round butt too.

Either one is going to beat the heck outta your little finger whilst chopping. But I went for the D-Talon.

Another DT order here, voted earlier. I was thinking the same thing about rounding the pommel, but will use it stock for a while first to see if the pinky bite is really an issue for me or not.

Here is a quick mock-up I did earlier:

I really like the DT look, but it might look pretty good with just the front talon too.

Sort of wish I had the funds for both, but I wasn't completely sold on the D-guard at first because I thought it would take away some of the forward weight for chopping. When the DT was announced and was a little cheaper I jumped on it right away.

My gf and I were looking at this thread when that was first proposed and both thought it'd probably look good, but that mock up looks even cooler than I expected. I'm not sure either that the pinky will be enough of a problem for me to take it to a grinder, but now at least I know it will look cool if I do.

I went with the DT out of preference, not because the D guard is a no-go here. The pinky smacking looks like it'll be significant, trying to decide if I'll order one of the 2G Ergo BMs and sell the Double Talon or keep the DT and do some work to it.

Amen brother. The 2G BM-E is seriously calling me. It looks awesome and I bet people are going to rave about that handle.
