Every once in a while, folks will ask me, "Have you ever made a sword?" I'll have to change my answer from now on. This blade is a full 20 inches of forged Dodge leaf spring steel. The D guard is blued mild steel, and the handle is a great piece of osage, bodark, or bois d' arc, depending on what you call it where you're from. While this knife isn't an exact copy of a particular historical piece, it is styled after the Georgia army Confederate artillery sword. The blade is sharp on top and bottom edges, and has a forged in distal taper and a 400 grit hand finish. Overall length is 25 inches. Weight is 2 pounds 2 ounces. Maker's mark is inside the D guard. Price is $1500, and will include either a sheath or a stand made to your specifications.

Here's an original knife in this pattern.

I thought that was osage, great choice! Looks like an excellent piece!

Can do 1200 as is, without sheath or stand to be built.
