I am a new knifemaker and have had the privilege of learning this craft from Steve Mullin. Steve recently retired and passed the Pack River Knife Company torch to me.

This is a great working camp knife. It's a big knife but feels much smaller in the hand. Can be used around the camp or on your next hunting trip to skin out game. Spooky sharp too.

3/16" D2 steel
Flat ground - satin finish
416 SS guard and spacer
Natural micarta handle
12" overall - 6 5/8" blade
Left handed sheath (will make up a right hand one if needed)

SOLD Pending funds

Thank you,

Mark Roe

That's a great looking knife and in a style thats very usable.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the positive feedback. It really sits nicely in the hand and is extremely controllable for delicate work when choking up on it.

Nice looking knife, mark. Good luck to you with Pack River. Hope it works out great.

Mullin retired, eh? Dang I feel old.... :) Does he still live close by Sawby? Scott was originally from my hometown.

Mike,

Yup. They still live nearby. On a good day, I can probably throw a baseball between their houses. I still spend a fair amount of time in Scott's shop (he's been a great teacher as well) and see Steve every couple of weeks.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Hi Mark,

You and I had some discussions a while back about a chef's knife (I had bought one of Steve's last knives from you)...good to see you here, and good luck with Pack River!! :D

Michael,

I certainly remember you. Life happened betwwen our correspondences and am in a position now to really move forward. I hope all is well on your end.

BTW: Yours was the LAST Mullin tactical. Pretty cool.

Take care,

Mark

Hi Mark,
Was searching on the forums for Steve Mullin and found this thread.
I'm very interested in your Camp knives and your work is excellent!

BTW - I bought one of Steve Mullin's Combat knives (D2, bead-blast, black micarta handle) a little while back prior to his retirement (even though he said he wasn't making them anymore) and Steve included with my knife a handwritten note saying that mine was the last Combat knife he was going to make. (Mine also has a special requested kydex sheath rather than the standard leather sheath.)
It would be interesting to determine if Michael's or my Combat knife was the last one. (Probably Michael's since I received my Combat knife direct from Steve and it appears Michael may have received his from you after Steve's retirement.)

Either way, I'd like to get in touch with you about one of your camp knives.

Best regards,
Mike
