The tang is tapered to .030" at the back of the handle. It has a flat grind and hand finished to 800 grit.

I cannot remember seeing jigged micarta. Did not even know it was possible.

I have this blade design and it a great "big" little knife. I have field-dressed, skinned and quartered deer with it.

This knife is a steal.
