Next up is a planer blade cleaver. I got this from my father in law who is a millright and it was marked D2. Did not have a way to anneal initially so I just ground it with ceramic belts and kept it cool. I also textured it to help hide the flaws from being a planer blade. (I don't have a surface grinder so I couldn't take out all the marks.) I also stonewashed it. This one is a little thicker than 1/8 and has Stabilized camphor burl handles with red liners and SS bolts. About 2 1/8 tall, 5.5" blade and 9.5" overall. Hollow ground on the right hand side. Should make a really nice cleaver short kitchen chopper.
Asking 140 plus 10 for shipping and insurance. Knife makers common sense warranty-use it like a knife and it fails- I fix it. Prybar means you shouldn't have done that!
