d2 griptillian

It's good to hear they worked out well. There is a real advantage to having a small and large size of the same knife. Being able to carry a smaller, friendlier size when necessary, you don't lose the feel of the special characteristics of the larger model.

I notice this with my small and large Sebenzas, and even to an extent with the Camillus CUDA Maxx, a much larger framelock. The same goes for my small MOD CQD II and large original CQD.

Wow, I ordered the min-grip D2 from Cabela's 9/18 night and I received it 9/22 (US Postal Service).

I have to say it's a great size for my needs. I'm not running through the jungle slaying rampant crocodiles so it doesn't need to be all that big. For self defense.....well, I have never brought a knife to a gun fight. ;)

Opening bails of straw, feed bags and the like doesn't require a Bowie sized blade. In fact, I have carried a Super Knife for nearly a year now and been happy with it. Well, until I sliced my finger and needed six stitches (another story). I liked it because I didn't worry about sharpening it or if someone who borrowed it tried cutting wire or something as the blade is easy to replace.

But I do have a nice little collection of quality knives and this one is a keeper for EDC. Now to get that Edgepro!

Thanks again for all the information,
Mike
